What Goldie collects, why, who can see it, and what control you keep over it.

Effective date: August 22, 2026Version: 2026-08-22-founder-review-draft
Draft for founder and attorney review. This document is a pre-launch draft prepared for the Goldie beta. It has not been reviewed or approved by licensed counsel and should not be treated as final legal text or as legal advice.

1. Who we are

Goldie (“Goldie”, “we”, “us”) operates GoldieGo.com and the Goldie financial decision platform. This policy explains how we handle personal and financial information you give us when you create an account and use the service.

2. Information we collect

Account information

Your email address, your password in hashed form, your name if you supply it, and authentication metadata such as sign-in timestamps. Authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider; we do not store your password in plain text and cannot read it.

Financial information you provide

The information you enter during the Goldie interview and afterwards. Depending on what you choose to share, this may include income, employment and business details, spending patterns, savings, debts and interest rates, investment and retirement account balances, insurance, household composition, goals, timelines, and the decisions you are currently weighing.

Goldie does not connect to your bank accounts. We do not use account aggregation, we do not ask for banking credentials, and we do not import transactions. Everything Goldie knows is what you type in.

Consent records

When you accept the documents required to use Goldie, we record which document you accepted, the version you accepted, the time of acceptance, and the IP address the acceptance came from. These records exist so that both you and we have a reliable account of what was agreed and when.

Technical information

Standard server and security information such as IP address, browser and device type, and error diagnostics. We use this to keep the service running, to investigate faults, and to detect abuse.

3. How we use your information

  • to create and secure your account
  • to generate your Goldie Plan, recommendations, and scenarios
  • to answer your follow-up questions and refine your plan over time
  • to process your purchase and maintain your access to the product
  • to operate, debug, and improve the service
  • to communicate with you about your account and the service
  • to meet legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations

4. What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal or financial information.
  • We do not rent or trade your information to data brokers.
  • We do not use your financial information to build advertising profiles or to target advertising to you.
  • We do not share your individual financial information with lenders, insurers, or product providers so they can market to you.

5. AI processing

Goldie uses artificial intelligence to analyse the information you provide and to generate plans, explanations, and answers. To do this, relevant portions of your information are transmitted to our AI processing provider under a commercial agreement that governs their handling of it.

We instruct our AI provider not to use your information to train their general-purpose models. AI processing is a separate, explicit consent that you give during account setup; if you are not willing to have your information processed this way, Goldie cannot produce a plan for you, and you should not proceed past the consent step.

Please also read the Financial Education Disclaimer regarding the limitations and error characteristics of AI-generated output.

6. Service providers

We rely on a small number of vendors to run Goldie, and they process information only as needed to provide their service to us:

  • Hosting and application delivery — serving the application and its infrastructure.
  • Database and authentication — storing your account, your financial information, and your consent records.
  • AI processing — generating plans and answers from the information you provide.
  • Payment processing — handling your purchase. Card details are collected and stored by the payment processor, not by Goldie; we never receive your full card number.
  • Email delivery — sending account and transactional email.

7. How your information is protected

Your financial records are stored in a database protected by row-level security, which enforces at the database layer that records tied to your account are readable and writable only by your own authenticated session. Data is encrypted in transit, and access to production systems is limited to those who need it to operate the service.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.

8. Retention

We keep your account and financial information for as long as your account is active, so that your plans remain available and can be updated over time. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your financial information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain records to meet legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations.

Consent records are retained as an audit trail. They are not deleted when a consent is withdrawn; a withdrawal is instead recorded against the original record, so the history stays intact.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Access — you can view the information held in your account.
  • Correction — you can update your information at any time, and doing so will change future plans.
  • Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and associated financial information.
  • Withdrawal of consent — you can withdraw a consent you previously gave. Withdrawing consent to AI processing means Goldie can no longer generate or refine plans for you.
  • Export — you can request a copy of the information you provided.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights. Requests can be made through the contact route published on GoldieGo.com.

10. Children

Goldie is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

11. International users

Goldie is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored there. If you access Goldie from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States, where data protection law may differ from that of your own jurisdiction.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service develops. Material changes will be reflected in a new version, and where the change affects what you have agreed to, we may ask you to review and accept the updated documents before continuing.

13. Contact

Questions about this policy, or requests relating to your information, can be directed to Goldie through the contact route published on GoldieGo.com. See also the Terms of Service.
